Some of the rights of crime victims must be requested. To request these rights, you must tell the District Attorney about your request, usually by filing out a form and turning it in to the Victim Assistance Office of the District Attorney.

In Oregon, the rights of crime victims are guaranteed by the Oregon Constitution:
