Volunteering

If you'd like to help us make a difference for the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, consider becoming a volunteer at Sable House.

No experience is needed, we'll train you. Our volunteers help us in many different areas - some examples:

  • Answer our 24-hour crisis hotline. We rely on volunteers after hours and on weekends.

  • Facilitate support groups for women and children, both for those residing in our shelter and for weekly drop-in groups.

  • Provide childcare for moms attending a support group.

  • Help with fund-raising events.

  • In-person sexual assault responding
